Chicken breasts with Creamy saffron and Lemon sauce

  • 3 tablespoons, vegetable oil
  • 2 whole, chicken breasts
  • ¼ cup, onion water
  • 1 teaspoon, mustard
  • 1 ½, lemon, juice extracted
  • 1 teaspoon, salt
  • ½ teaspoon, black pepper
  • 1 clove, garlic, finely chopped
  • As required, Water
  • 1 tablespoon, butter
  • 1 tablespoon, flour
  • Saffron
  • ¼ cup, cream
  • To taste, salt


  • Mix onion water, mustard, lemon, salt, black pepper and garlic. Season the chicken with this mixture and leave it for 1-2 hours.
  • In a hot frying pan, place the marinated chicken with about a cup of water. Let the chicken cook in it.
  • Once the chicken is tender, drain the excess water in a bowl. Will use this broth later.
  • In a casserole, mix butter and flour till the flour turns tender and slightly changes its color.
  • Gradually pour the broth into this casserole. Stir constantly till the texture of the sauce becomes smooth. Tip: If the sauce feels too soft or liquid-like, add some flour in a little water and mix.
  • Now in a hot pan, place the chicken with saffron, cream and salt, if necessary, and let it boil. Once done, remove and serve!
