Serves: 1 person
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 40 minutes
3 pieces, lamb chops
½ teaspoon, Salt
¼ tablespoon, black pepper
2 tablespoons, vegetable oil
½ cup, dried apricots, soaked in water
½ cup, prunes, soaked in water
1 stick, cinnamon
2, anise stars
1 tablespoon, brown sauce
1 teaspoon, honey
Water, for soakin
Soak prunes and apricots in lukewarm water overnight. If you’re short on time, alternatively, soak it in boiling water for 2-3 hours.
Heat oil on medium flame, add onions and leave it until slightly caramelized without burning. If it starts to burn or change its color quickly, add a bit of water, to cool the pot quickly.
Add dried apricots, stir until tender. Then add the prunes and mix it.
Note, prunes are softer than dried apricots, so no need to stir the prunes for long.
Add cinnamon, anise star, brown sauce, and stir, then pour some of the water used for soaking.
Add honey, salt, and black pepper, stir it all together. Your sauce is ready!
On a hot grill, place the chops and season them with a little salt and black pepper, and cook them as desired. You’re ready to serve!
