Okra with Pomegranate Molasses

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons, vegetable oil
  • 250 grams, okra
  • 1 large, onion, finely chopped
  • 2 sections, green pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves, crushed garlic
  • 1 cup, tomato puree
  • 1 teaspoon, tomato paste
  • 1 ½ cups, chicken broth
  • ½ teaspoon, Arabic 7-spice mix
  • 2 tablespoons, pomegranate molasses
  • To taste, salt
  • 3 tablespoons, green coriander, finely chopped

Steps

  • Place pot on high flame, pour the oil, then add onions, peppers and garlic. Stir until transparent.
  • Add the okra and stir lightly until it’s mixed well with the rest of the ingredients.
  • Add the tomato puree and tomato paste. Leave it to cook until the tomato sauce thickens. Then add the chicken broth and salt as desired, and leave the ingredients to fully cook. Then add the spices, pomegranate molasses and coriander. You’re ready to serve the delicious dish!
