Princess Xi Yang is melancholy after learning that Jing Shi’s heart belongs to another woman.

Prime Minister Zhuang’s plan fails when the Emperor receives word from the Emperor of Jinxiu accepting Jing Shi’s matrilocal marriage with Xi Yang.

Sui Ge’s plan falls into place when Ning Fei realizes the truth and confronts Wei Ran. Yi Xiao hears everything, vowing they are no longer sworn siblings, but strangers henceforth.

Yi Xiao confronts Jing Shi and learns the truth behind her fall after the Pingling battle, and declares he will be her enemy henceforth.

Sui Ge angers his father when he accuses him of turning a blind eye to the Empress’ actions in trying to kill Yi Xiao.

While following a lead to the masked man working with Jing Shi, Yi Xiao spots a familiar face and unexpectedly falls into a trap in a death camp.

Sui Ge begins to share his true feelings for Yi Xiao. Despite Jing Shi’s apathy towards Xi Yang on their wedding night, Xi Yang pledges to be by his side and gives him the gift of freedom.

Not believing that Ning Fei is dead, Jing Shi commands Wei Ran to look for him. Xue Ying’s father performs surgery on Yi Xiao’s injured left arm.

Intent on keeping his father alive, Sui Ge storms the palace and confronts Prime Minister Zhuang, who has assembled the imperial guards to thwart Sui Ge.

The Emperor continues to justify his actions, but both Sui Ge and Yi Xiao don’t agree with his principles, with Sui Ge refusing to be his successor.

The Emperor of Jinxiu spares no effort in helping Xi Yang realize how cruel Jing Shi really is. He makes it known to her that her father is deathly ill, but try as she might, she is not able to leave and visit him.

Sui Ge finally avenges his mother’s wrongful death and then bids farewell to his father, not wanting to do anything more with him. As he and his men celebrate, the Empress confronts the Emperor with devastating consequences.

The Empress colludes with Murong Zhong to pin the Emperor’s death on Sui Ge. Though Murong Yao heeds his father’s commands, he still holds brotherly love for Sui Ge.

Upon arriving at the Storm Alliance, Yi Xiao faces obstacles in getting treatment for Sui Ge. Despite the Storm Alliance’s grim history with the Fengs, Yi Xiao makes a case for Sui Ge using the basic principles upon which the Storm Alliance was founded.

Cheng Yang ascends the throne but is already cautioned to be wary of the Murong family, while the Murong family plots to stay in power.

Xi Yang is incredulous after hearing the reports of what happened in Susha. Disbelieving, she asks Jing Yan to continue investigating and slowly aligns herself with him.

Yi Xiao’s gamble pays off, but now they must find a way to leave the premises of Storm Alliance. Elders Zhou and Zhang have plans of their own, counter to Elder Lei.

Sui Ge and Yi Xiao deduce what Elders Zhou and Zhang are planning and make their own plans. Elder Lei realizes how stifling the rules are, while Sui Ge vows to find who was behind the Storm Alliance massacre.

Sui Ge’s men give him updates on the happenings at the palace. Sui Ge decides to schedule a meeting with his brother, Cheng Yang.

Sui Ge and his team are suddenly ambushed by Murong Yao. Sui Ge decides to seek out his Feng battalion to see if they will still stand with him.

With his powers stripped by Cheng Yang, Murong Yao heads back to his residence, finding Sui Ge and his battalion waiting for him. Xi Yang receives a letter from Sui Ge and pleads with Jing Yan to allow her to see him.

Xi Yang promises Jing Yan that if he allows her to see her brother, she will stay with him on his birthday. Knowing Sui Ge will take his sister away, Jing Yan heartbrokenly agrees.

Jing Shi finally gets the revenge he’s been planning and waiting for, but is dismayed when Yi Xiao makes it clear she only sees him as her enemy. Sui Ge gathers his men for a showdown with Jing Shi, who has prepared an ambush.

During the battle in Pingling City, Jinxiu’s military commander, Fu Yi Xiao, severely injures Susha’s eldest Prince, Feng Sui Ge, who quickly flees for safety.

Feng Sui Ge tortures Fu Yi Xiao to gain information about the battle at Pingling and, in so doing, helps her remember some of her past memories. He decides to keep her alive, hoping to figure out who tried to assassinate them.

Before striking a deal to cooperate with each other, Yi Xiao and Sui Ge get even with each other. Yi Xiao lures the assassins following her, but they hold back for some reason.

Sui Ge comes up with a plan to not only confirm his cooperation with Yi Xiao, but also to surface the assassins after her. Xue Ying arrives at the capital, bringing Yi Xiao’s three little disciples.

Sui Ge tells his sister Jinxiu’s plan to have her marry the Prince of Jinxiu, Xia Jing Shi, who is in love with Yi Xiao. Sui Ge vows to protect her and prevent her marriage.

Sui Ge discovers that his sister has fallen in love with the Prince of Jinxiu and therefore wants to marry him.
