Leanne and Glens family of nine is bursting at their tiny Californian bungalow in Canterbury. Leanne is emotionally attached to this house. Neale has to conjure space where there is none and Andrew has to persuade Leanne that life will be better somewhere else.

Childhood sweethearts Paul & Michelle have outgrown their 3 bedroom Boondall home. Neale needs to maximise the space for Paul to want to stay. Andrew has to tempt Michelle with homes that have more space and privacy.
Belinda and Cameron’s first home together is in the desirable bayside but it just happens to be on the wrong street. Andrew thinks a move closer to the city is the right lifestyle choice. Neale believes he can turn this cottage into an entertaining dream.
Con & Rita’s Post War Preston home is dated, dark and dreary. Con thinks a fresh new start could be the order of the day. Rita loves the house and refuses to budge, believing a clean open plan space will be all she needs to stay forever.

Vicki and Mark live on the upper level of their home with their two daughters. Grandpa Alex, Marks father, lives downstairs. For Vicki the house is falling apart, and she wants out Mark thinks they have a dream house.
After years of moving around with the Army, Belinda wants to stay settled while Craig, having beat cancer just a year ago, wants to embrace a healthier low maintenance lifestyle by the beach.
