Alaska: Surviving the Last Frontier

Carolyn Wise heads out on a moose hunt and the Flower Lake group stalks squirrels. The other groups are forced to take desperate measures to find food.

The struggle for food, water and warmth continues as Tim heads into the harsh and freezing Wrangell Mountains to hunt mountain goats.

Tim, Allan and Jasmine discover just how brutal Alaska can be when they embark on a journey which takes them through river crossings, ice shelves and blizzards.

The volunteers encounter a blizzard, freezing rivers and sub-zero temperatures. They feel like they are losing it, but at this point there is no turning back.

The volunteers depart their cabins and hike out to catch a plane back to civilisation. Some battle sub-zero temperatures and dehydration on their way.

Four groups of intrepid adventurers abandon the convenience and technological trappings of modern living and attempt to survive the wilds of Alaska.
