Four groups of people are dropped into the wilderness of Alaska. As they struggle to find their new home, they must overcome bears, glaciers and their fears.

Greg Pierson, who has never used a gun, sets out on a brutal mountain goat hunt whilst the other groups gather food before the winter.

Carolyn Wise heads out on a moose hunt and the Flower Lake group stalks squirrels. The other groups are forced to take desperate measures to find food.

The struggle for food, water and warmth continues as Tim heads into the harsh and freezing Wrangell Mountains to hunt mountain goats.

Tim, Allan and Jasmine discover just how brutal Alaska can be when they embark on a journey which takes them through river crossings, ice shelves and blizzards.
